The best place to practise Qi Gong

I'm back after being away for some time and really like to share what I have discover about qi and qi gong. Last week I was at the location set for my daughter's photo shoot.

The interesting part about the location is the old house at the hill top. It was very green and the temperature is around 20 degree celcius. So it is just fine. I met the owner of the house and I told her about the fine qi surrounding the area. Obviously, she was not suprised as I was not the only one who told her that. Then she started showing me around and there were 7 vortex of qi in the area. I can feel the strong qi as I walked through the areas and identifed the areas for qiqong practise. The below are the areas where I have personally experience while practising qigong.

Hill top
- The qi is really nice plus the fog which will make the qi finer. Other than that the cool temperature will stimulate your skin sensitivity. This will enable you to feel and distinguish the atmosphere.

Watter Fall
- Running water energy is a very strong energy with the breeze and the sound its produce. The qi has more vibrational power and I would normally meditate in my qigong posture.

Bamboo Forest

- Wind qi and the sound produce by the bamboo cleanse out the negativity, so the qi is really fresh and pure.

Morning Qi

- The best would be at 6 o'clock in the morning where at that time the trees are just started to breath out the fresh oxygen.

So, there you have it. Email or send me a comment should you need further clarification. Take care.

Source of disease

Believe it or not, many people who are hospitalised are psychic in a way. This is because the negative thought that they create is actually manifest. If we look closely, we will notice that about 60% of sickness comes from internal factors such as depression and other negative emotional states.

Once these people are infected by certain disease, the negative emotion starts to haunt these people. Unintentionally thinking about the sickness has making it worsen and raises the blood pressure. The impact is great as it will cause the heart to enlarge and may cause a stroke in the long term.

So, if you are sick, dont think about the sickness. Just think the sickness is dissapearing and gone. Practice qigong and it is no longer there because your positive thought emits a very powerful healing energy. Relax and breath using your stomach..

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

I am sure many of you out there have heard about EFT. This technique of combining psychology and acupoint have been accepted by the western communities. What Im trying to highlight here is why it works.

First of all, the tapping points are a well known points used in qigong, which are the meridian of the chi. What the tapping does is that it stimulates the acupoint and increasing the vibration on the points. By doing that it raise the enery of the meridian and remove all the blockages at the points. So all the chi channel and chi meridian are smooth flowing with the chi.

Next, come the hypnosis part of the EFT where you formulate a script crafted to accept the existing condition and make the correction. This will activate the subconcious mind power suggestion for healing or relief of any emotional state.

Once you have mastered this tapping points, you may used qigong to just visualise all the points. You will be able to feel the tangling sensation on each points and people would not even notice you are actually tapping the points. So, now you have a new my eft technique just by visualing the tapping points. It is advisable to start this technique with diaphragmatic breathing to enable the chi channel & meridian connections.

Disease and chi

Increased flow of energy (chi) into the physical body boosts the immune system; sometimes quite dramatically. This enables the body's natural self-healing mechanisms to work more powerfully and effectively. The most striking example of this boosting effect, as mentioned earlier, can be experienced when a cold, flu or virus is caught. If the full body circuit is done immediately, the symptoms will often vanish within an hour or so; or at the very least be significantly reduced.

The immune system, when energy boosted in this way, seems perfectly capable of throwing off or reducing the severity and effects of any infection or virii.
The actual site of any disease symptoms may have very little to do with its bioenergetic cause. The part of the energy body that is damaged and/or malfunctioning may be remote from the actual site of pain and/or disease symptoms it is causing or contributing to. This is particularly so with diseases like diabetes, which is usually caused by a disease-damaged or malfunctioning pancreas. Juvenile diabetes is actually classed as an immune system disorder; according to the latest scientific studies, that is.

Every organ in the physical body receives minute bio-electrical messages from the brain through a complex network of interconnecting nerves (and nerves are related to energy pathways). These messages tell the physical organs how to function: what to make, how much, and what not to make, i.e., the correct quantity of insulin to keep the body healthy and alive. The bio-energy aspect of the physical body works in-line with these processes and effects them considerably. It is therefore reasonable to suggest here that if any of the bio-energy pathways within the energy body become blocked or damaged, that these messages could become garbled and/or blocked. The continuing good health of the physical body can thus be energetically thwarted and disease conditions allowed to manifest and thrive.

What is chi channel and meridian?

First, have you noticed what the doctor give to patient when they admitted or warded in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)? It is 2 of the basic elements which are water and air. To understand further about the 4 elements, please visit my other blog at foreverintime.blogspot.com

In many ways the bio-energetic aspect of the energy body can be likened to a perfect energy reflection of the physical body. Parts of the energy body can also be likened to many of its biological functions. The bio-energy circulatory system, for example, contains arteries (large energy conduits) and veins (smaller energy pathways). Like its physical counterpart, parts of the energy body can become dysfunctional if energy flow (blood) becomes blocked or reduced.

The bio-energy aspect of the energy body is not just a mere reflection of internal life processes, it also has a profound effect on them. If parts of the energy body become blocked or damaged the stage is set for disease to manifest within the physical body. Clearing energy blockages can therefore be thought of as being good preventative medicine.

Blood is the mirror image of life energy and has many of the same functions and properties. It takes energy and healing elements into, through and around the physical body. It also expels waste products (waste energies) and fights disease. Its energy counterpart can be greatly strengthened and blockages cleared so energy flow is increased to higher than normal levels. Increased energetic flow greatly empowers the body's self-healing intelligence, the incredible immune system, giving it more energy to fight disease with.

Benefits of Qigong to Smokers

Smokers have tendency to be easily effected by viruses and sicknesses compared to non smokers. Cigarettes are filled with poison that goes into the lungs when you inhale. Coughing, dizziness, and burning of the eyes, nose, and throat are early signs that smoking is harming you. Smoking increases your health risks if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or high blood cholesterol. The long-term problems of smoking cigarettes are the following:

Cancer: Smoking increases your chances of getting cancer. Cigarette smoking may play a role in developing many kinds of cancer. Lung cancer is the most common kind of cancer caused by smoking. A smoker is at greater risk of getting cancer of the lips, mouth, throat, or voice box. Smokers also have a higher risk of getting esophagus, stomach, kidney, pancreas, cervix, bladder, and skin cancer.

Heart and blood vessel disease:

If you already have heart or blood vessel problems and smoke, you are at even greater risk of having continued or worse health problems. The nicotine in the tobacco causes an increase in your heart rate and blood pressure. The arteries (blood vessels) in your arms and legs tighten and narrow because of the nicotine in cigarette smoke. Cigarette smoke increases blood clotting, and may damage the lining of your heart's arteries and other blood vessels.

Carbon monoxide is a harmful gas that gets into the blood and decreases oxygen going to the heart and the body. Cigarette smoke contains this gas. Hardening of the arteries happens more often in smokers than in nonsmokers. This may make it more likely for you to have a stroke (blood clot in your brain). The more cigarettes you smoke, the greater your risk of a heart attack.

Lung disease:

The younger you are when you start smoking, the greater your risk of getting lung diseases. Many smokers have a cough which is caused by the chemicals in smoke. These chemicals harm the cilia (tiny hairs) that line the lungs and help remove dirt and waste products. Depending upon how much you smoke, your lungs become gray and "dirty" (they look like charcoal). Healthy lungs are pink.

Chronic bronchitis is a serious lung infection which is often caused by smoking. Emphysema is a long-term lung disease that may be caused by smoking cigarettes. Cigarette smoking also makes asthma worse. You are at a higher risk of getting colds, pneumonia, and other lung infections if you smoke.

Gastrointestinal disease: Cigarette smoking increases the amount of acid that is made by your stomach, and may cause a peptic ulcer. A peptic ulcer is an open sore in the stomach or duodenum (part of the intestine). You may also get gastroesophageal reflux from smoking. This is when you have a backflow of stomach acid into your esophagus (food tube).

There are many other negative impact of smoking and having said all these you still love to smoke then you might need to consider of practising qigong to balance your health.

Please refer to the previous post (Healing meditation) on how to rejuvenate your body, mind and soul.

Healing Meditation

Qigong view the flow of the chi channel as a stream of water flowing. All the vein and capillaries need to be in a relax state without any stress or blockages. The positions in some meditations do block the channel to flow especially the lower parts (hip bone and below).

The most relaxing is to sit on a stool about 1 foot high and place your huiyin or base chakra to be in the center of the stool. Now place both of your hands on the knee facing upwards with right hand on right knee and vice versa. Now relax and visualise the universe and you are part of it. Bring yourself back and next we start with the meditation.

First, we start with the lungs and the way to do this is by making a circle with your thumb and forefinger. The thumb is actually representing the brain and the forefinger is the lung. So now you have the circle both your left and right. Now, feel the chi is flowing from your brain down to your lung. The chi flow should be continous and you may start visualise that all the chi channel and chi meridian of the lungs are fill with chi.

All the chi channel and chi meridian are smooth flowing with chi. All blockages and sicknesses are removed, dissapeared and gone. All disimpairment, dysfunctional, deterioration and diseases are all dissapear and gone. Gone and dissapear completely, totally without a trace.

Finish the lungs healing with turtle breathing by visualising the chi from the universe is entering the body from the head at baihui point(inhale) and down to the toe at yunchuen point (exhale).

Now, you may start the whole process to your other vital organs. Next should be your index (middle) finger, ring and pinkie finger. The index finger is representing the heart and pinkie is the kidney. A little different on the ring finger since we have two different organ on our left and right. Your right ring finger represent your liver and the left is representing the spleen.

Once you down with all the fingers and you want to close your meditation, just do a flush of baihui and yunchuen to all the vital organs that you had just gone thru.

Have fun..
